TRAVELS WITH JIM AND MARIBETH |
DWI VICTIMS MEMORIAL - In 2008 my great niece was killed by a drunk driver. She was only 18 and had a wonderful future ahead of her. Her death affected me deeply. At the same time of her death, just 2 blocks away in my rural subdivision in Moriarty, NM a The Memorial of Perpetual Tears was being constructed. I contacted them, and asked if I could volunteer. I became the creator of the tribute pages for DWI victims from across the Country. By clicking the icon at the left you can view the pages I have created for the Memorial tribute books, as well as links to videos and other information about DWI victims. |
COURTHOUSE PROJECT - On my bucket list for years has been to visit every County Courthouse in the Continental US, but I have had to accept the fact that I am probably not going fulfill that bucket list item. So, I thought I could alter my quest a bit, and try to see if I could contact enough family, friends, and other using social media sources, who would be willing to take a photo of their County Courthouse and allow me to use it in my scrapbooking project. You can follow my County Courthouse quest by clicking the icon to the left. Enjoy the journey |
NEW MEXICO CENTENNIAL GET THE PICTURE CONTEST - In 2012 the New Mexico Department of Tourism conducted a contest where they displayed 100 photos (mostly historic photos) from around the State. The object of the contest was to identify where the photo was, take a trip to that location and take a modern day photo of the location and submit for a random drawing. By clicking the icon at the left, you can join me on my journey as I traveled around New Mexico taking photos of these wonderful and magical places. |
